The nVidia 650i chipset provide better support for SLI, but is less overclockable than the intel chipsets.
SLI is unfortunately not supported in full potential just like P965. The Intel P35 is obviously the latest and there are mobos which support DDR2 and DDR3: Enermax has a lot of PSU's with 2 fans, thats a waste of noise to me.įor Intel there 5 chipsets on the market: Intel P35 and P965 and nVidia 650i, 680LT and 680i. Look for a Modular PSU with SLI support and preferably just one 12 or in the best case a 14cm fan. Just look at the price and the series, then you will know whether the PSU is good. This has been here for VERY VERY long, so I hope someone will come here and help.Ĭorsair, OCZ, Thermaltake, Antec, Enermax, Zalman etc. What I need from you is to tell me what's the best current and best priced products: these will include the motherboard, a very hard choice for me, the Power supply, I really wonder which to get, and all stuff inside.Īre OCZ powersupplies ok ? Because this store has partnership with them, and I'll get a warranty of 3 years from the store, so if anything goes wrong, I have this warranty to cover me. Ok, then, I will be buying a the tower, the mobo, the rams, the hard drives.all things inside except video card, from a store near me called poklik with the site. If you can pick me one from the website i gave you. But which one, I need your advice in this about the LCD. I was thinking to get the BFG 8800 GTS 320 MB version from there along with an LCD.
Price in there isn't a big problem, as I have Less Price guarantee policy to get the lowest price for these. I will buy the video card and the monitor from from the store itself.
This is what I really need, i'm looking to buy the PC in the next 2 weeks. Let's say for now 1500 $ CA in total with taxes and shipping This post has been edited by chaabk: Apr 29 2007, 20:05 PM I'll post a screenshot of the total everytime you propose me new things I'll use tigerdirect's calculator to see how much taxes and shipping will cost me, just to have an idea. If you know others that ships to canada, it's ok.

Gamepad - Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 2.4GHz USB Gamepad (for NHL07 )Ĭase - don't know, a good one with good airflow Hard Drive - Don't know, don't want to spend a lot on it, a good 250 GB will be ok, for now Motherboard - Asus P5N-E SLI NVIDIA 650i Socket 775 ATX Motherboard I never overclocked and have zero experience in this area, but I may want to try, if I felt ready, after reading some reviews and trusted instructions. So i'm searching for components for reasonable price. I hope I'll find a job so I can finally buy once and for all my custom pc. Summer is coming and I'll finish soon school in may 18th.
